Steven H. Goldman
Steven H. Goldman has been providing high quality legal representation to his clients since 1985, the year he graduated from Rutgers University Law School.
The Law Offices of Steven H. Goldman was founded in 2000. The firm is dedicated to providing its clients with the highest quality legal representation, together with compassion for their situations and an awareness of their individual needs.
Goldman's background includes work for three major public defense organizations:
From 1985-88 Goldman worked at the Defender Association of Philadelphia as an arraignment attorney. During his time at the "Round House," the circular police headquarters in Center City, Philadelphia, Goldman quickly learned how to make an effective bail argument, a talent he has honed over the years. That skill has allowed many of Goldman's clients to fight their case while at liberty, rather than from the cramped space of a jail cell.
From 1988-97 he worked as an attorney at the Brooklyn office of the Legal Aid Society of New York. He developed his skills as a litigator as he fought daily for his client's rights. During this time he represented literally thousands of clients on virtually every conceivable criminal charge. He negotiated numerous pleas and conducted many hearings and trials.
From 1997-99 Goldman worked as a Senior Trial Lawyer at The The Bronx Defenders, an organization well-known for the quality of its legal representation and the concern for its clients. His job there was to try serious felonies as lead counsel, and also to teach his less-experienced colleagues the right way to try a case. During his brief tenure at the Bronx Defenders, Goldman tried fifteen cases, all of which were serious and involved the prospect of many years in prison if convicted.
